Busy east Hamilton street to close this weekend for popular food truck festival

A popular east Hamilton avenue is closing to traffic this weekend for a popular street festival that is making its return following two years of COVID-19 cancellations.
The Sew Hungry Food Truck Festival is returning to Ottawa Street this Saturday (May 14) after a two-year pandemic-enforced break.

The City of Hamilton is warning motorists and residents in the area of Ottawa Street to be aware that the road will be closed to traffic, from Main St. to Barton, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. The festival itself runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ottawa Street from Barton St to Main St will be closed on Saturday, May 14 from 7am – 10pm for the Sew Hungry Festival. Vehicles will not be permitted on the street during this time. pic.twitter.com/38xC1Qo2v2

The 2022 Sew Hungry event will feature more than 20 food trucks, which will be parked up and down the street, as well as live music, a beer garden, an activity zone and all of the restaurants and businesses that make Ottawa Street one of Hamilton’s most popular destinations.
