The Niagara Student Transportation Service, which organizes buses for both the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) and the Niagara Catholic District School Board (NCDSB), has proactively canceled all school buses tomorrow (Feb. 23), anticipating tonight’s ice and snowstorm.

“Based on the forecasted snow, ice and freezing rain across Niagara, all student transportation is cancelled for tomorrow – February 23, 2023, for the (DSBN) and (NCDSB). A decision on whether schools will be open will be made by the school boards and communicated by 6 am,” said the bus company.

The DSBN echoed the sentiments on its social media, noting the buses were down but that a decision hadn’t been made yet for school closures.

The NCDSB made an identical statement regarding school closures on their social media.

Earlier this morning, the NSTS made a similar statement, saying regular after-school buses would be running but canceled the later buses that collect students doing after-school activities such as sports and clubs.
