Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens is kicking off registration for its Oaks and Acorns Nature Play program this week.

Held in the mornings in RBG’s Nature Play Space, the program is designed to inspire a life-long love of nature and the outdoors in children aged 2-5.

Participants will explore the natural world through nature walks, storytelling, imaginative and loose parts play, and hands-on discovery, with all programs modified for safe outdoor interaction. This program takes place entirely outdoors.

The fall session runs Sept. 20 to Oct.29 and participants chose the day they want to attend, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays.

The program is limited to 12 children per day and the cost is $100 per child, plus a service fee. The cost includes admission for a parent or caregiver as this is not a drop-off program.

The health and safety of participants and staff at RBG is our highest priority. Families will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening, to be done online at home, each morning of their attendance in an Oaks and Acorns program.

Registration opens Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. Visit RBG’s website for more information.
