The trophy case is getting full at Nickel Brook Brewing after the Burlington brewery added a gold medal to its Canadian Brewing Awards collection Saturday night in Quebec City.

Nickel Brook won top honours in the Wood and Barrel-aged category for Spring.

The gold was the brewery’s third at the event in the past five years alone, to go with two silvers and three bronzes. In 2017 Nickel Brook won four awards, including gold for their Immodest Imperial IPA and their Brett-style Uncommon Element.

Nickel Brewing has expanded into Toronto with the purchase of the former Big Rock brewery in Etobicoke. They also plan to move their Burlington operations from Drury Lane to a new location on Mainway Drive next summer.
