Halton residents who enjoy interactive arcade-style games will be happy to know that a new active gaming centre has recently opened up in Burlington.

Activate, which already has an existing location in Winnipeg and others in the U.S., has recently opened its new Canadian location at 2030 Appleby Line.

Designed to get attendees active, the centre features 11 game rooms with various interactive games and arcade-style walls and floors with bright lights and lasers.

In one of the rooms called “Control,” players act as joysticks and must tilt boards to move across a giant screen making it not only a fun and interactive experience but also a way to build muscle and improve agility.

Another game, called “Simon Says” requires the memorization of a sequence of colours before shooting the corresponding hoops until time runs out.

While the concept of the centre is meant to get players active and on their feet, it also features several games that are meant to test the mind.
