As Metrolinx continues to expand service, specifically on the Lakeshore West line serving Burlington, infrastructure improvements will happen along with it.

As part of the plan, Metrolinx and the city are working together to replace and enhance the Drury Lane pedestrian bridge, which is nearing the end of its service life.

The planned upgrades to the bridge will provide a number of benefits to GO customers and local community including improved pedestrian access and making it compliant with accessibility rules, allowing Metrolinx to provide more frequent, and faster, train service, and allowing for future electrification infrastructure to be incorporated into the rail corridor.

The expansion program is delivering more GO service across the network, including trains every 15 minutes or better on the Lakeshore West line.
