Burlington Transit encourages riders to continue mask-wearing despite lifting of mandate

Burlington Transit is encouraging riders to continue wearing masks despite the province removing the mandate effective tomorrow, Saturday, June 11.
A spokesperson for Burlington Transit said today, “We still recommend that you do wear a mask, especially when the bus is busy or you’re not able to keep at least two metres from other riders.”
While recognizing it’s no longer mandatory, the spokesperson hopes riders will treat each other with respect, tolerance and kindness.
“We respect the right of each rider to decide whether masking is right for them or not and ask you to do the same.”
