Colin Lockless of Burlington has just won $50,000 with InstantQuest for Gold Crossword.

Lockless, the 70-year-old retiree, told OLG he is a regular lottery player but only plays Instant tickets occasionally. “This ticket was a spur-of-the-moment purchase.”

According to OLG, Lockless was at the store purchasing a Lotto 6/49 when he decided to pick up some Instant tickets.

“When I started matching lots of words, I turned it around to see what the prize amounts were, then scanned it using the OLG Lottery App. I was filled with waves of disbelief and happiness,” he told OLG.

According to OLG, Lockless said he sent a picture of the winning ticket to his kids asking how their day was going. His kids were shocked and happy for him.

Lockless told OLG he plans to pay off his car, share his winnings with family and save some for a trip to British Columbia.

The winning ticket was purchased at L & I Variety on Guelph Line in Burlington.
