The Burlington Public Library is hosting various MakerSpace events this month.

MakerSpace is a do-it-yourself (DIY) studio where residents can create designs and use equipment for projects. It is located on the third floor at the Central branch.

The upcoming events will enable residents to get creative and learn new crafts such as laser cutting, embroidery and 3D printing.

Everyone is welcome to use the MakerSpace and attend the upcoming events regardless of whether they are Burlington Public Library cardholders.

Library staff are available for troubleshooting help, however, due to high demand, residents may book two sessions maximum per piece of equipment daily.

Walk-in projects are also available on a first-come, first-served basis if the equipment is available.

MakerSpace hours are Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a brief closure on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Additionally, they are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Participants may register online with or without their library card numbers.
