Burlington park reopens with new playground equipment, paved paths

Fairchild Park has reopened with new play equipment, drainage and paths.
The refurbishment of a Burlington park is now complete and it has reopened.
Fairchild Park, located at 2175 Fairchild Blvd. (with access from Brant Street as well), is now open following a construction project that took about two months.
Included in the upgrades, which were decided upon following a community survey, were:
- Replacement of playground equipment and swings
- Installation of engineered wood fibre surfacing
- Installation of new drainage system at playground areas
- New concrete transition curbs for accessibility into playground areas
- A new paved path connecting the park’s two entrances
- New fencing sections
