It wasn’t difficult to figure out how the big spin turned out for Burlington’s John Turner.

The $150,000 winner in OLG’s The Bigger Spin instant game was quick to make sure everyone in the store knew.

“When the spin stopped on $150,000, I shouted so loud that everyone in the store knew I won something!” Turner said before he laughed. “I ran out to my car to grab my phone so I could call my girlfriend. We were both in shock!”

A regular lottery player, Turner admits he doesn’t normally play instant tickets.

The 42-year-old landscaper, who purchased his winning ticket at Busy Bee Variety on Plains Road in Burlington, plans to put his winnings towards future retirement plans.

“It feels amazing,” he said.

The Bigger Spin instant game costs $10 and combines a scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel on the lottery terminal screen.

Winners could also  take an in-person spin on The Bigger Spin Wheel at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

There are three ways to win in The Bigger Spin Instant. You can scratch and win an instant cash prize of $10 to $150,000 or a Spin Prize.

If the prize is Spin, visit any OLG retail location to validate the ticket and watch the animated wheel spin on a screen.

Finally if you’re animated wheel stops on Bigger Spin, the prize won is an actual spin on The Bigger Spin Wheel at the OLG Prize Centre for a guaranteed prize of $500,000 to $1 million.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the number of in-person claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre is limited to those who require a face-to-face interview.
