Burlington man facing several drug charges after arrest by Halton police

A Burlington man has been arrested following a Halton police drug investigation.

Members of the 3 District Street Crime Unit observed the suspect conduct what they allege are drug transactions within Halton.

On Thursday, Jan. 12, investigators arrested a 50 year-old male from Burlington.

He has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, benzodiazepine and amphetamine; possession of stolen propery under $5,000; weapons dangerous; possession of prohibited weapon and breach weapons prohibition order.

Investigators also executed a search warrant at a residence in Burlington and seized the following items:

  • 11 grams of fentanyl
  • 26 grams of cocaine
  • 12 grams of methamphetamine
  • Large quantity of hydromorphone, benzodiazepine pills
  • two knives
  • one machete
  • two pairs of brass knuckles

The accused was released on an undertaking. Police are not releasing the accused’s name because of other ongoing investigations.
