Burlington libraries open for local residents to beat the heat

In response to the heat warning issued by Halton Region, all of Burlington’s public library branches are open and available for use as a cooling centre.

Heat warnings are issued by Halton Region when temperatures are expected to be at least 31°C and overnight temperatures are above 20°C for at least three days or humidex is at least 40 for at least two days.

Here are the locations of the Burlington library branches. You can also bring your dog in to beat the heat:

  • Aldershot Branch – 550 Plains Rd. E.
  • Alton Branch – 3040 Tim Dobbie Dr.
  • Brant Hills Branch – 2255 Brant St.
  • Central Branch – 2331 New St.
  • Kilbride Branch – 6611 Panton St. Kilbride
  • New Appleby Branch – 676 Appleby Line
  • Tansley Woods Branch – 1996 Itabashi Way
