A Burlington house sold for more than $800,000 more than it did when it sold last August.

The five-bedroom home at 38 Flatt Rd. sold for $1,356,000 last year and was listed at $1,599,999 a couple of weeks ago. It only took two days before it sold for $2,170,000.

The large home sits on a one-acre lot and backs onto a ravine in the largely rural neighbourhood.

Described as an ‘entertainers dream’, some of the special touches include a kitchen island, quartz counters, pot lights, engineered hardwood floors, fireplace, lots of parking and a firepit in the backyard.

Home prices in Burlington, and across the GTA, have been on a sharp increase recently, due mainly to a very limited supply.

Prices are up over 50 per cent from last year for detached homes in rural Burlington and the median price for the last nine listings in the area was $2,265,000.
