Burlington Holiday Market will become a regular fixture

The Holiday Market will become a permanent feature in Burlington just before Christmas each year.
Burlingon has given the go-ahead to the downtown market which has been operating the past two Decembers on a trial basis.
Councillors approved the continuation of the market after data showed that it was well attended and had increased the number of shoppers in the downtown area.
This past year 40 vendors took part in the Holiday Market which was located on parts of Elizabeth St. and the Elgin Promenade.
A report presented to council said there were no major issues or concerns surrounding the market and plans are to hold the event earlier to coincide with the Santa Claus Parade.
