A Burlington Fortinos grocery store will be providing COVID-19 vaccines to educators at a special clinic tomorrow.

The clinic will run from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Fortinos at 1059 Plains Rd. E. and will provide first, second or third (booster) doses to teachers and other school staff.

“For the past two years pharmacists have played an important role, supporting public health priorities in the fight against COVID,” said Ashesh Desai, executive vice president, Pharmacy and Healthcare for Loblaws.

“Right now, teachers are a major priority as they return to school. These clinics will make appointments more accessible and convenient for those who need them to help keep our schools safe.”

In order to receive a Moderna vaccine, teachers and education workers will need to provide their board ID or proof of employer. Those interested in booking an appointment can call Fortinos at 905-634-2739.
