The City of Burlington has rescinded its proof of vaccination policy at its recreation facilities.

Beginning Tuesday, Mar. 1, residents will be able to use city-run facilities without showing their vaccination certificate.

The move comes at the direction of the Provincial government, who are rolling back several health policies designed to combat COVID-19.

Masks, physical distancing and active screening are still required until further notice.

“Regardless of any changes, our staff will always work to provide the safest and highest quality programming we can offer,” said Chris Glenn, director of Recreation, Community and Culture.

“Please be patient with staff as we work through implementing any change and as we take cautious steps on the journey to fully reopening our facilities and programs.”
