A vehicle that left the road, crashing into a Brantford storefront and injuring two people has led to charges against a Burlington man.
Brantford Police say the incident took place on Saturday (April 8) in the area of Edmondson St. near Wayne Gretzky Pkwy. around 4:30 p.m.
The two people were sent to hospital and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
According to reports, during their investigation officers arrested the driver of the vehicle and transported him to a police station to provide breath samples which were then determined to be twice the legal limit for alcohol and driving.
Additionally, police say, the accused was unable to provide valid proof of insurance.
As a result, a 57-year-old man from Burlington now faces several charges including the operation of a vehicle while impaired causing bodily harm and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor. His identity has not been released by police.
