Burlington Cougars have win, OT loss, in early season Ontario Junior Hockey League play

The Burlington Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League have a win and an overtime loss in their two games played this young season.
The Cougars opened with 3-2 loss to the Oakville Blades at home Saturday night and were within two minutes of a victory before conceding the tying goal and losing in overtime.
Burlington goals were scored by Matthew Zebedee and Matt Franzoi and goalie Zach Ditz stopped 30 of 33 shots.
Sunday’s game against Milton Menace turned out a little better, with a 5-4 win in Milton.
Jack Richard led Burlington with a pair of markers while singles went to Nathan Naves, Isaac Faccio and Franzoi. Kyle Metson got the win in net, making 31 saves.
The Cougars sit in third place in the OJHL West Division with three points, one back of Georgetown and Oakville, who are both 0-2.
Burlington travels to Brantford Thursday night before hosting Pickering Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Central Arena.
