Burlington perfume theft leads to drug charges against those from Mississauga and Brampton

A Halton Police investigation into a break and enter at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Burlington has led to numerous drug charges and the arrest of three people from Mississauga and a Brampton man.
Police say three suspects broke into the retail store, located at 4524 New Street in Burlington, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning and stole numerous fragrance bottles before fleeing from the store.
As a result of their investigation into the theft, officers determined that the stolen items were being stored at a residence in Mississauga.
A fourth male associated with the residence was also identified and police observed him trafficking drugs in Mississauga
Police, with the assistance from the Mobile Surveillance Unit, Tactical Rescue Unit and 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, executed Criminal Code search warrants on the residence, trailer, and vehicle belonging to one of the suspects.
Four suspects were arrested as a result of the investigation.

Phillip Hector (36) of Brampton
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crack Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (2 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Firearms Prohibition (4 counts)
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Device
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm
Jeanette Magiera (46) of Mississauga
- Break and Enter
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Possession of Fentanyl
Arthur Monckton (39) of Mississauga
- Break and Enter
- Possession of Stolen Property
Antonio Cardoso (53) of Mississauga
- Break and Enter
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Seized items included (see attached photo):
- Fragrances (value approx. $15,000)
- Crack cocaine (3 grams)
- Fentanyl (approx. 1 gram)
- 9mm handgun
- Three magazines
- 24 rounds of ammunition
Magiera, Monckton and Cardoso were released on an Undertaking. Hector is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
