Burlington residents who love art will be excited to know that an art event will be taking place in the city later this summer in support of Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH).

The event, called “Burlington Artscape,” will allow spectators to view and order art that will be displayed outdoors during weekends in August.

“Burlington Artscape” has a total of 50 professional artists painting 4-foot aluminum leaves with stone stands specifically for outdoor art.

The pieces will be available to order from now until August 31 and will cost $750 each, with 100 per cent of the funds going directly to JBH and will contribute to critical care expenses and equipment.

“Our hope is to raise $37,500 to aid our hospital’s most urgent priorities such as ventilators and heart monitors,” read the event’s website.

The event will take place on August 8, 15 and 22, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Grace United Church located at 2111 Walkers Line.
