Building project calls for 305 new residential units on busy Burlington street

Builders are moving ahead with a plan to construct a housing complex along one of Burlington’s busiest thoroughfares.
The project slated for 688 to 698 Brant St. south of Olga Dr. calls for an 11-storey mixed-use building with street-level retail stores along the main street with 12, two-store townhomes in the rear of the complex.
A total of 305 residential units will be created if the project comes to fruition.
The redevelopment of the site will see the elimination of three low-rise structures.
A pre-proposal community meeting was held last September, but the builder has now officially filed an application to proceed.
As part of the process, another community meeting is scheduled for the project in July.
