Fans hoping to catch Bruno Mars live in Toronto on Saturday night won’t be getting any “24-karat magic in the air” as severe weather moves through the city.
The singer’s concert at Rogers Stadium has been cancelled due to severe weather moving through the Greater Toronto Area.
In a social media update shared Saturday, the North York venue said the show has been rescheduled to May 31 because of “inclement weather.”
“The safety of our guests, artists, crew and staff remains our top priority,” the venue said in its statement.
The May 23 concert was scheduled to be the first of five Bruno Mars performances taking place at Rogers Stadium over the next week. Additional shows are still planned for Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and next Saturday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement earlier in the day, warning that heavy rainfall was expected throughout the GTA, with up to 50 millimetres possible in some areas.
Ticketholders will be able to use their original tickets for the rescheduled May 31 performance.
More details are expected to be shared through the Rogers Stadium app and Ticketmaster.
