Brooklin woman “shaking with excitement” wins $350,000 on Instant Crossword Extreme

Who knew a crossword puzzle could be worth $350,000?
A Brooklin woman found out it can after winning the big prize on an INSTANT CROSSWORD EXTREME game.
Anne Thornton said she knew she had a winning ticket after scratching the last word but had to be sure. “I checked all the words again because I couldn’t believe it. Then I asked my husband to check it. He thought it was a fake, so we counted the words together about 10 times.”
Thornton was so excited she had to ask her husband to drive to the store with the ticket. “I couldn’t drive, I was shaking with excitement. When we saw $350,000 on the terminal, we were so happy and shocked!”
She plans to help her son with university costs, take a trip to the Caribbean, put some toward retirement, and maybe upgrade her car. “It feels amazing and so surreal.”
INSTANT CROSSWORD EXTREME is available for $30 a play and the top prize is $350,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.42.
