Broad daylight break-in leads to arrest in Brampton

Impaired drivers charged in 2-vehicle crash and failed checkstop in Caledon, police say

One man has been arrested after a broad daylight break-and-enter in Brampton on Wednesday, police say.

Peel Regional Police descended on Beisel Crescent around 1 p.m. after investigators say someone broke into a residence.

There was a significant officer presence in the area and police said they were responding to “an ongoing matter,” adding there was not believed to be a threat to the public.

Police said an adult male broke into the home and was arrested “without incident.”

Residents can expect to see police in the area while the investigation is underway, but officers are expected to clear the scene as soon as possible.
