Bridge rehabilitation project prompts Hamilton road closures for 7 weeks

Police close road in Whitby due to fire investigation

In an effort to enhance infrastructure and ensure public safety, a bridge rehabilitation project has prompted the temporary closure of certain roads in Hamilton, according to City officials.

Effective from Wednesday, July 12,  Book Rd W., stretching from Trinity Rd S. to Alberton Rd S., will be closed and these closures are expected to remain in place for approximately seven weeks. .

However,  full access to properties situated within this closed block will still be available, with specific access points.

For residents and property owners residing at 1397 Book Rd W., and addresses beyond that point, access will be exclusively granted from the west, via Alberton Rd S.

Meanwhile, residents at 1319 Book Rd W, as well as those residing at 1086 Trinity Rd S, will have access solely from the east, via Trinity Rd S.

Detour signs and road closure notices will be prominently displayed in the affected areas to guide motorists and facilitate a smooth transition.
