Breaking: St. Catharines high school evacuated after ‘threat,’ says Niagara Police

The students and staff are out and the Niagara Police are in at Eden High School today as the police deal with a “threat.”

Details are limited at the moment and the police have not issued any statement on the nature of the threat.

At 12:30 today (January 24), Niagara Police tweeted: We are aware of a threat involving Eden High School in St. Catharines. To ensure the safety of students and staff, the school is being evacuated while the investigation continues. More information to follow as available.”

At 1 pm, their update was simply “Officers remain on-scene investigating threats at Eden High School. There is no known on-going risk to public safety at this time.”
