While a Niagara Police officer on the scene wouldn’t offer comment, three cruisers have eastbound Westchester Street briefly blocked down to one lane at St. Paul Street in St. Catharines, a situation that started at approximately 4:35 pm today.

There were no visible signs of an accident although one vehicle, above right, sat driverless in front of the cruisers. There was a Husky in the passenger’s seat.

Asked if the vehicle has died at the intersection, an officer simply said, “No.” By 4:50 pm, a tow truck took the vehicle away.

Westbound traffic on Westchester was not affected at all.

This story will be updated as information becomes available from the police.
