Brawl outside Brampton bar leads to assault charges
A Brampton man has been charged with assault after two people were hurt in a brawl outside a Brampton bar.

A Brampton man has been charged with assault after two people were sent to hospital following a brawl outside a Brampton bar in the early morning hours this past Sunday.

Peel Regional Police say they responded to reports of multiple people fighting at about 12:30 a.m. outside a bar at a plaza at Hurontario Street and Wanless Drive, several blocks north of Sandalwood Parkway East.

“Upon arrival, police located two victims, a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. They were both taken to a local hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a news release.

Police made an arrest a short time later and say additional suspects may be sought.

Sukhjit Singh, 24, of Brampton, is charged with assault. He’s scheduled to appear at a later date in Brampton court.

Investigators note that they’re “aware of the videos that are circulating online on social media.”
