It’s food for your soul, right here in Mississauga.

Honey – Soul Food, located at 5977 Dixie Road, is a soul food restaurant with a southern flare.

The popular new restaurant recently celebrated its grand opening on April 22.

“Honey is just as she is, something sweet,” the new restaurant posted on its Instagram account. “She is soul food, taking you on a trip down south with the Cajun flavours, Creole vibes and bourbon infusions. It’s all about food that makes you feel at home.”

And why with the name honey?

“Well, honey is always part of the recipe baby!,” touted the Instagram account.

Options under the Breaking Bread part of the menu include a Jack’d Up chicken sandwich, featuring Jack Daniels Cajun battered chicken with coleslaw and pickles on a sweet biscuit.

The resto also offers a Big Kahuna made with two smash jerk patties, pineapples, cheese, lettuce, pickles, Cajun mayo and mango drizzle.

The menu also boasts a braised brisket sandwich and a braised brisket mac with a five-cheese blend, pulled braised brisket and a signature glaze. Diners can also try a loaded mac or Mama’s OG Lasagna, consisting of ground beef with spinach and a five-cheese blend.

“Sidetings” include loaded mac, poutine and cornbread, and you can all wash it down with some coconut water or sweet teas.

While dining in at the restaurant is not currently possible due to the lockdown restrictions, curbside pickup is available by calling 905-696-7575.
