With icy cold temperatures quickly becoming a mainstay of this winter season (as they are of any winter season, really), you might be looking for more indoor activities to partake in until we’re well into May (or even June).

Fortunately for you, a brand new escape room has just opened its doors in Mississauga.

Trapped, which recently opened in the Dundas and Glen Erin Drive area, is a growing escape room franchise that operates locations in Markham, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary, Fort McMurray, St. John’s and Coquitlam, B.C.

Operators says the 5,500 sq. ft. facility is one of the largest and “most elegant” escape room facilities in Mississauga.

You can see a video of the facility, courtesy of the brand’s Instagram, below.

As for how it works, attendees can choose from three different escape rooms (or a fourth room that’s only available for members) and spend 60 minutes attempting to outwit and outplay game designers through a series of challenging puzzles.

As is always the case with escape rooms, teamwork and collaboration is paramount.

The themed rooms include Ancient Pyramid (PG), Medieval Prison (14A) and Death Note (PG). The fourth room, Chaos Effect (14A), can only be accessed by Trapped members.

According to the brand’s website, Trapped Mississauga’s escape room themes are appropriate for any level of experience. The facility can also be used for corporate team building events, parties, date nights, and family/friend outings.

The facility also boasts a spacious meeting/ event room for private parties and functions that’s equipped with large screen and sound system.

Attendees can also book one or more VR stations for team games.

Will you be checking out Trapped this winter?
