All Brampton residents are invited to share their ideas on what they think the city’s newest arts centre should look like.

A motion by City Council was passed on March 9th to build a new dedicated space for members of the community to create and showcase their artwork.

The centre will also provide rentable community space.

The new centre will be located at the Flower City Community Campus on McLaughlin Road South near Queen Street West, currently the location of the Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre and various city services.

Starting today (August 15), the City is taking public input to determine the size, scope and offerings that the centre will provide.

Feedback can be provided via an online survey or by attending one of several virtual workshops or community pop-ups happening soon.

Mayor Patrick Brown says the new centre will help build community connections and inspire creativity.

“As we build a new space to come together and experience art and culture, your feedback is vital in shaping a space that reflects who we are as a city,” said Mayor Brown.

Our community is a mosaic of diversity and creativity, and we want our new Arts Centre to reflect the talent that lives here,” said Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor for Wards 1 and 5.

More information about the upcoming centre is available at the City’s website.
