Soccer fans who have pencilled in tonight as a much-watch time take note: the Olympic gold medal match in Women’s Soccer has been moved from the originally scheduled time of 10 p.m. ET Thursday to 8 a.m. ET Friday morning.
The gold medal match will now be played Friday night (9 p.m.) local time at International Stadium in Yokohama.
With temperatures hovering in the mid-30s all week and the forecast calling for more of the same Friday afternoon, both teams had requested a time change due to concerns about the players’ health and safety.
