Brampton woman shocked by 'unbelievable' $250,000 lotto win
Brampton resident Cristita Fornias says she has been a regular lottery player for more than 15 years and just won $250,000.

A Brampton woman is $250,000 richer after a big lotto win and says she plans to use the funds to travel and visit family across the globe.

Brampton resident Cristita Fornias says she has been a regular lottery player for more than 15 years.

Her favourite game is Instant Crossword Deluxe and was playing at home when she discovered her big win.

“It was unbelievable. I was so shocked – my eyes went wide,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mom’s Convenience on Avondale Boulevard in Brampton.

And just to be sure her ticket was for real, Fornias decided to take the ticket to a store to double check her win.

Now with a cool $250,000 in hand, the Brampton winner says she plans to use some of the winnings to travel back home to the Philippines to visit her family and make some investments with the rest.
