Brampton woman one of three charged with drug offences after fleeing police

A Brampton woman is one of three people charged with multiple drug offences following a vehicle pursuit that ended up in a snowbank in Orillia early Monday morning.
Shortly before 2 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police witnessed a familiar vehicle driving in erratic fashion on Frederick Street. The officer recognized the car from previous incidents where the driver failed to stop for police.
After following the car for a short time, the officer activated his lights to signal the driver to pull over. While the vehicle did stop briefly, it fled before the officer could speak to its occupants.
That led to a short pursuit on Highway 11 north of Orillia before the car turned off on a dead end road and eventually got stuck in the snow.
Officers arrested its three occupants and a search of the car resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine and Canadian currency.
Tamika Dickson, 26, of Brampton, along with Bradley Craig, 30, of Orillia were charged with:
* Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
* Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine
* Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both parties have been released and are set to appear on May 4, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.
The driver of the vehicle, Jordan Dennis, 33, of Scarborough, has also been charged with the same three drug offences as his passengers as well as:
* Flight from a peace officer
* Dangerous operation
* Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was set to appear on Monday at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
