Police release name of Brampton woman killed in Mississauga hit-and-run crash

Police are urging the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Mississauga to turn themselves in.
On Sunday (Feb. 20), police say 24-year-old Kavita Chodhary from Brampton was walking along Derry Road East and was crossing the road at Cattrick Street when she was struck by a dark coloured vehicle.
Police say the driver fled the scene without stopping or attempting to give any assistance to Chodhary.
Investigators say they have located the vehicle and identified the driver, but a warrant for their arrest has not yet been issued.
Police are urging the driver to contact legal counsel and contact investigators, but have not released the driver’s name.
