Brampton woman charged in Midland drug bust

A Brampton woman is among two charged in a Midland, Ontario drug bust.
According to reports, members of the Community Street Crime Unit of both the Southern Georgian Bay and Orillia OPP raided a home on Southwinds Cres. in Midland just before 4:30 p.m. on October 28.
Once inside police investigators found cocaine and drug paraphernalia along with Canadian cash which led to the arrests.
Kelly Elizabeth Purcell, 23 of Brampton is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Failure to comply with an undertaking (not complying with conditions agreed to after release from custody)
Kristen Ann Johnson, 40, of Midland is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Both have been released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on December 9.
