Brampton Uber driver gives himself 5-star review after sexually assaulting passenger: Police

Police are searching for a Brampton Uber driver who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Vaughan and used her phone to give himself a good review and tip. 

York Regional Police say that in the early morning of April 23, the suspect, driving a white 2021 Toyota Carolla, picked up a woman in the Yonge St. and Eglinton area in Toronto and proceeded to drive her to Vaughan. 

Police allege that during the ride, the suspect pulled into a parking lot in the Rutherford Rd. and Weston Rd. area and sexually assaulted the victim. Police also allege that the suspect took the victim’s phone, ended the trip on the app and gave himself a 5-star rating and tip. 

Police say the victim, a 26-year-old woman, was not physically harmed.

Investigators are looking for Vikram Lather, 53, in connection with the incident. 

The accused is urged to contact a lawyer and turn himself into police. 

Police believe there might be other victims.
