A Brampton traffic stop led to abrupt chaos this week.

At around 3 a.m. on Monday, Peel police stopped a vehicle near the Clark Blvd. and Rutherford Rd. South intersection.

Police did not disclose the reason for the traffic stop.

During the interaction, police say the suspect vehicle struck two cruisers before fleeing the area — striking a hydro pole in the process, which led to downed hydro wires and significant road closures.
