Coldest Night of the Year 2022

Brampton residents who want to get out and support the less fortunate in the community will have the chance to do so this month.

The city has been invited to take part in Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY), a yearly event where residents walk to raise funds for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

On February 25th, participants will meet at Brampton’s Garden Square before setting out on a two- or five-kilometre evening walk.

Residents this year have been challenged to form teams to raise funds with, with the ultimate goal of raising more than $180,000.

As of February 8th, Brampton has 179 walkers and 44 teams registered for the event.

Outside of Brampton, the event is also happening at many cities and towns in Canada.

More information on the event in Brampton, and other ways to help, are available at CNOY’s website.
