A group of teens from Brampton are facing charges after allegedly getting caught riding around in a stolen vehicle with a fake gun.

The Caledon OPP says officers were working on an investigation in the area of Mayfield Rd. and Creditview Rd. in the Town of Caledon around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (April 12).

That’s when police say officers saw four individuals enter a local business and witnessed “unusual activity” by the suspects.

Police investigated and said the quartet were riding in a vehicle that had been reported stolen outside of Caledon in March. Officers also found a replica firearm inside the vehicle along with several knives and other items, police said.

An 18-year-old, two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all from Brampton, were arrested by the Caledon OPP.
Police have charged Judah Jones, 18, of Brampton with one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds, also from Brampton, have been charged by police with one count each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The names of the three minors charged in this incident can not be named due to a general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
