Brampton teen charged in Milton pharmacy robbery investigation

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest in relation to two robberies that occurred in Milton and Cambridge.

Police say that on Jan. 10, 2022, at approximately 7:25 p.m., HRPS officers responded to a pharmacy in the area of Leger Way and Britannia Rd. in Milton for reports of a robbery.

According to police, two suspects entered the pharmacy and stole narcotics.

One of the suspects assaulted an employee during the robbery, however, no physical injuries were sustained.

Both suspects fled the scene along with a third suspect, who was waiting in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Durham Region on Jan. 5, 2022.

Investigators determined that the same suspects were responsible for a similar robbery at a pharmacy earlier that same day in the area of Coronation Blvd. and Island View in Cambridge.

Police say the stolen vehicle was recovered in Brampton on Feb. 11, 2022.

On Mar. 8, 2022, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a residence in Mississauga. During the execution of the warrant, one of the suspects was located and arrested, according to police.

A 16-year-old male from Brampton has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Police say he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
