Brampton teen charged after 4 armed robberies in a day

A teenager from Brampton is facing charges after a string of armed robberies at Brampton businesses, which all happened within 24 hours.

Beginning early Thursday morning (March 16), a teenage male and two other suspects robbed four convenience stores at gunpoint. Peel Regional Police did not specify which stores were targeted.

“These suspects targeted currency and other property from within the stores,” said police.

No injuries were reported.

Following police investigation, officers identified a suspect and raided a home in Brampton, where they located the suspect and an imitation firearm inside.

A 15-year-old male from Brampton was arrested and charged with four counts of robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and using an imitation firearm.

His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police are searching for the remaining two suspects and anticipate further arrests and charges.
