Update: Brampton stabbing suspect in custody after initially fleeing on foot

There was a heavy police presence in an area of Brampton early on Tuesday evening (Oct. 19) after a suspected stabbing.
At 5:27 p.m., Peel Regional Police were notified that a 41-year-old male victim was stabbed near Railroad Street and McMurchy Avenue North in Mississauga. The suspect is believed to have immediately fled on foot, but the Peel police says they have arrested a 43-year-old suspect and taken him into custody.

The stabbing victim was conscious and was receiving care from Peel Parademics. They were taken to a trauma centre.
