Brampton, St. Catharines and Thorold trio charged after $45,000 worth of cocaine seized

A month-long investigation into illegal drug distribution in St. Catharines has led to the seizure of $45,000 worth of suspected cocaine and the arrest of two men and a woman.

Yesterday (Oct. 26), the Niagara Police raided a home on Rykert St. near Pelham Rd. in St. Catharines and ended up seizing $45,000 of suspected cocaine and $289 in suspected crime cash. They also searched a 2015 Ford Fusion owned by one of the suspects.

Two men and a woman were arrested – Romaine Delando Barnes, 40, of St. Catharines, Sheldon Stewart, 39, of Brampton, and Chane Peris Cynthia Dixon, 30, of Thorold.

All three have been charged with possession of cocaine for trafficking and possession of crime cash under $5,000.

The trio all remain in police custody, scheduled for a bail hearing later today (Oct. 27) via video link to the courthouse in St. Catharines.
