Brampton school evacuated after ‘chemical spray’ released: police

Police evacuated Sandalwood Heights Secondary School in Brampton after a possible pepper spray incident on Thursday (April 14).
Just after 11:30 a.m., police were called to Sandalwood Parkway Eastand Freshspring Drive in Brampton after receiving reports of “some type of chemical spray” released in a school.
Police say the chemical was possibly pepper spray and a fire alarm at the school was pulled. Students were evacuated and Brampton Fire and Emergency services were also called to attend the school.
Sources told insauga.com that the school was Sandalwood Heights Secondary School.
The school will be closed for the rest of the day “due to air quality,” police said.
No injuries have been reported.
