The municipal election is quickly approaching and the City of Brampton is urging eligible voters to check the voters’ list.

Eligible voters should make sure they are on the voters’ list. You must be on the list to vote in the 2022 Brampton municipal and school board election.

Residents are eligible to vote if they are a Canadian Citizen, at least 18 years of age on voting day, and reside in Brampton (or you or your spouse are the owner or tenant of property in Brampton).

To check if your name is on the voters’ list, visit the city’s website, click on “Am I on the Voters’ List?” and enter your name, date of birth and address.

People can verify or update their information online, or register to be added if their name is not on the list. Online registration will be available until 5 p.m. on Oct. 15.

Eligible voters can also visit the city clerk’s office at Brampton City Hall to check if they are on the voters’ list and complete an application to amend the voters’ list form, if required. Voters can also complete the form at any advance voting location, or on voting day.

The municipal election is Oct. 24.
