Brampton resident charged with assault with a weapon in domestic incident: police

A Brampton resident is facing nice charges including two for assault with a weapon after an alleged domestic incident over the weekend.
Just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (July 10), The Haldimand County OPP say officers responded to a call in Selkirk, approximately 63 kilometres south of Hamilton.
Police investigated and say nine charges have been laid against a 34-year-old from Brampton including:
- Assault – spousal (two counts)
- Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm – spousal
- Assault with a Weapon – spousal (two counts)
- Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property (four counts)
Police did not immediately release any additional details about the accused or the incident
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
