Brampton recruiting spring and summer staff with job fairs

Brampton Recreation is seeking out new hires for spring and summer programs across the city with a pair of job fairs next month.

From lifeguards and camp counsellors to maintenance crews and fitness instructors, there are a variety of positions available this spring and summer in the city’s aquatics, camps, customer service, facility operations and other departments.

The city will be holding a job fair on April 9 for interested residents to learn more about available opportunities and speak to City staff.

Brampton Parks Maintenance and Forestry has a range of part-time and temporary positions available in forestry, horticulture, cemetery, construction and maintenance with some positions carrying on into the fall.

Maintenance and Forestry is hiring for a number of positions including Seasonal Labourer, Parks Keeper, Gardener and Arborist.

“We have a range of positions available with Brampton Parks and Recreation for the spring and summer,” said Brampton City Councillor Charmaine Williams said in a release. “We also have opportunities for volunteers. Apply for a role with the City to help keep our city healthy, active and safe.”

The city is also recruiting volunteers for a range of departments including Brampton Animal Services, the Brampton Emergency Management Office, Brampton Recreation, and Performing Arts.

The city’s job fairs run on Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Save Max Sports Centre, and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Riverstone Community Centre.
