Looks like Justin Trudeau is listening to some of Brampton’s finest!
The Prime Minister released his summer playlist, called the PM Mix, on Spotify on Saturday, and, of course, it boasts all Canadian talent.
Trudeau’s playlist boasts almost 40 songs by Canadian artists, including Drake, Hedley, Coeur de Pirate, Of Monsters and Men, Sarah McLachlan, and The Tragically Hip.
Notably, one of Brampton’s own Alessia Cara’s songs has made the list. The PM seems to enjoy her hit “Scars to Your Beautiful.”

As everyone no doubt knows, the past two years have been huge for Cara. After achieving success with her debut single “Here,” she released her full-length album Know-It-All. In the past two years, she’s gone from playing sold out shows at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall to opening for Coldplay and hitting Gold with her debut album.
